Join Dr. Justin Stein, one of the organizers of the recently-opened Hawayo Takata Archive, for an intimate experience learning about the life of Takata-sensei through direct experience of her writings, correspondence, Reiki certificates, photographs, audio recordings, and more. This archive also includes materials dealing with her teacher, Chujiro Hayashi, and many of her students.

Sunday November 17th 3pm to 6pm
Introduction by Dr. Stein to the life of Hawayo Takata, the archive's construction, and its materials

Monday November 18th 9am to 3pm
Spend the day in the Archives at the University of Santa Barbara, seeing the life of Hawayo Takata through her personal papers, most of which have barely been seen by the public. Ample time will be provided for individual reading and group discussion.

This is a one-of-a-kind pilgrimage experience to experience the energy of these materials with the support of a Reiki community and a scholar like Dr. Stein, who has worked intimately with these materials for years.

A Day with Grand Master Phyllis Furumoto: Local Communities to Global Community

A Day with Grand Master Phyllis Furumoto

Local Communities to Global Community

What does it mean to move from me to we? When do local reiki communities join the global reiki community? And for what purpose? And why is it so important to come together?

This is a unique opportunity for the Bay Area to talk about local reiki communities and the global reiki community. We will also be discussing the current political landscape in the world and looking at our spiritual practice, personal practice and the mystic order of Reiki and what does this teach us.

Date: Saturday February 18th 9:30am to 5pm

Location: The Women’s Building 3543 18th Street, San Francisco, CA

In Person Attendance $126.00
